Bamboo rafting is an amazing method to explore the wildlife of Kerala up close. To experience this, rafts made of strong country bamboo are used to sail through the enchanting lakes and rivers.  There are a few locations for bamboo rafting in Kerala. Periyar Lake in Thekkady, and Pozhuthana river in Wayanad are the popular ones. Shendurney wildlife sanctuary also famous for bamboo rafting.

Rafts has a capacity to carry 10 tourists and a few guides and an armed guard for the protection of travellers. Usually, rafting starts in the morning at 8 am and ends by evening 5pm. All foods will be served during the journey.
