Trekking is a wonderful adventure activity that can be enjoyed enthusiastically in Kerala as it has several trekking trails. Many of which are situated in the wildlife zones in the Western ghats.  Many places in the district of Idukki like Ramakkalmedu, Meeshappulimala, Anamudi, Thekkady, Rajamala and top station are paradise for trekkers. These places are abundant with nature, serene valleys, beautiful forest, lush greenery and refreshing air.

Silent valley and Dhoni hills located in Palakkad district have best trekking paths. Silent valley is famous for tropical rainforest and a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and moths. While going North, trekkers can find stimulating trekking routes starting at the foothills of Wayanad hills like Tusharagiri in Kozhikode.
