Tholpetty wildlife park is a lush green forest laid out in an area of 345 sq.km in the Wayanad district of Kerala. The peaceful natural forest is a very good habitat of animals, birds, reptiles, and other living creatures. A guided Jeep safari through the natural habitat will be a pleasing experience and it will provide opportunity to see various animals and bird species from a very close range. If you are lucky, animals such as elephants, guars, deer, monkeys, tigers, leopard, bears, and different species of birds, reptiles and butterflies can be sighted frequently. A lake which quenches the thirst of the animals is an unmissable site.

The lush green tropical forest with moist, dry deciduous, semi-evergreen characteristics harbours plantations of teak, eucalyptus, silver oak, and rosewood.
