Peruvannamuzhi is a quaint village 16 km away from Kuttyadi in Kozhikode district nestled on the hills of Western ghats. The main attraction in this hamlet is the beautiful damsite and the dense forest which forms the part the Malabar wildlife sanctuary.  The flora and fauna here are diverse as it is a home to different types of animals such as elephant, tigers, gaurs, leopards etc. and rare species of plants. This area is famous for the cultivation of different crops and spices.

Peruvannamuzhy is a scenic picnic spot with some attractions which includes the lake, crocodile farm and snake park.  The activities like boating in the calm waters of the dam and trekking in the forest are exciting.
