Bamboo craftsmen who are engaged in jobs such as Basketry, and mat weaving, are an inevitable part of rural economy.
A good number of traditional artisans are engaged in the job of making different types handicrafts, utility items, furniture, and fixtures. Bamboo products or woven mat-based products used for storing grain, vegetable, or fish; drying fish or fruits; transporting vegetable, fish, or flower; winnowing grains; separating or screening an area in shops or restaurants etc. are very common in the market.
